Job Overview

We are seeking a Trainee – Product/Quality Assurance Engineer to join our MTG QA team. This role is designed for a motivated professional looking to transition into the Quality Assurance domain within the space sector. Working onsite at EUMETSAT, you will undergo comprehensive on-the-job training to support the delivery of cutting-edge meteorological services while ensuring the highest standards of project integrity and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Perform on-the-job training and gain experience in the following areas to eventually support the MTG QA team as a junior team member:

• Implement EUMETSAT QA policies in the assigned area(s), in accordance with the Project System QA plan and all relevant applicable documents
• Ensure that project processes involved with the assigned tasks are implemented in accordance with their relevant QA working practices and procedures. 
• Contribute to the maintenance of work packages and procedures. 
• Contribute to the implementation of agreed-upon improvements to the available QA documentation, aiming at process efficiency and synergy. 
• Contribute to the establishment of metrics to measure the effectiveness of the main processes within the assigned areas. Provide proactive suggestions for process improvement, based on these metrics and other observations. 
• Ensure that Quality Assurance policies and methods are taken into account during all phases. 
• Contribute to the production of the documents relevant to the performed tasks.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• A good background in Spacecraft mission operations
• Some knowledge of applicable processes and standards in Operations
• Prior experience in writing, managing, and configuring the control of documentation
• Some knowledge of QA/PA activities

Desirable Skills

• Willingness to learn and grow in the QA/PA activities
• Keen eye for detail and persistence
