Who You Are

You are a young, motivated person with a good degree from an University, vocational college or having good technical work experience in absence of a proper qualification.

This position is based at EUMETSAT in Darmstadt. It is a permanent full-time position.

What You Will Focus on 

Execution of end-to-end routine and contingency operations for the Satellites, that includes:

• Preparation, monitoring and remote control of the Spacecraft
• Monitoring of data, health check of the equipment, preparation and performance of operations following established procedure and verification of results
• Troubleshooting (with help of procedures) and preparation of reports

What You Bring

• A university degree in a Science or IT related discipline (electronics, physics, computing, programming, process control, ground station operations) is preferred
• Some experience of shift work would be an advantage, but not essential

Essentially

• A strong technical oriented background
• Good communication skills, fluency in English, both in speaking and writing
• Ability to work autonomously according to high level guidelines and to work in international teams
• A good working knowledge of MS Office Tools
• Collaborative and team worker
• Solution oriented

Desirable

• A working knowledge of Linux
