Join us and take the opportunity to be part of our Multi-Mission Ground Station Operations team. You will be working 24×7 rotating shifts, supporting several spacecraft missions from control rooms at the Ground Operations Centre.

This is an entry-level L1 support position that will give you, due to the initial and continuous training, a wide knowledge of Ground Segments and it will open more doors to pursue a career in Space Operations.

Key Responsibilities

The position requires training and certification as a Multi-Mission Ground Station Operations Controller. The tasks are delivered in a 24×7 shift pattern at the client site. The core duties will be as below (but not limited to):

  • Handling of real-time spacecraft operations and voice communication following standard procedures
  • Coordination between different ground stations and spacecraft missions
  • Contingency and emergency scheduling of operations
  • Monitoring and control of the Ground System Network and data transfer
  • First level (L1) response to anomalies and assistance to On-call personnel in troubleshooting
  • Logging and reporting of activities and anomalies
  • Configure and operate complex systems for Multi-Mission like 15-meter tracking antennas, up-and-down converters, high-power amplifiers, etc.
  • Supporting simulations, tests, and training
  • Monitoring of the software and database applications
  • Interface and co-ordinate clearly with relevant agencies in case of anomalies
  • Assist the System Engineers in procedure verification and anomaly investigation
  • Perform Administrative support functions as required

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • A degree in Tele-communication, Aerospace, or IT-related stream
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Good communication skills
  • Team-player
  • Fast learner and willing to improve
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision and take responsibility
  • Flexible
  • Ability to prioritize different parallel activities
  • Capability of following and implementing standard procedures
  • Problem-solving attitude

Desirable Skills

  • System administration in LINUX environments
  • Programming and Networking skills
  • Understanding of virtualization and networking technologies
  • Experience in handling and development of procedures and technical documentation
  • Knowledge of CCSDS and ECSS standards
