What You Will Focus on 

As part of our multinational team, you will design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable backend and frontend code for a sophisticated software stack in the space domain. This includes developing software models for satellite ground segment systems and mission preparation systems in the ground segment.

You will identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and devise solutions to ensure system functionality. You will also maintain code quality, organization, and automation. Translating customer needs into delivered features, and becoming proficient in estimating and defining future tasks, will be part of your role.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Design, develop, document, and test software in Java and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Manage and be responsible for the complete development lifecycle of software systems
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation
• Translate customer needs into delivered features
• Share knowledge and mentor within the team
• Grow yourself and the company, and be rewarded as a technical specialist

What You Bring

Essentially

• High Proficiency in Java programming language
• Experience with application integration and RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
• Ability to create software design documentation using UML
• Familiarity with development tools such as debuggers, profilers, and tracing utilities
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Proficiency in spoken and written English

Desirable

• Frontend: Angular and/or React, Eclipse SWT
• Backend: Spring Boot, Eclipse RCP
• Scripting (e.g., Bash, Python)
• Experience with continuous integration processes and tools
• Experience working in an Agile team
• Linux command line, Git, Maven
• Debugging, static and dynamic code analysis
• Knowledge of automated testing
• Experience with Docker containerization
• Knowledge of JavaScript and C++
• Background in the space market (ground segment systems) and its applicable standards
