What You Will Focus on
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of network solutions
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential weaknesses in the network infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems, and other security platforms to enhance network security posture
- Analyse network traffic for issues, and respond to incidents in a timely and effective manner
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security policies, standards, and procedures are followed throughout the organization.
- Stay updated with the latest network trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies to proactively address potential risks.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and resolution of incidents.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for networks.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of third-party solutions and vendors.
- Manage and maintain project logs, ensuring project delivery in a timely manner.
- Perform management roles for mission critical infrastructure and IT related business
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network security engineering, with a proven record of progressively responsible roles.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of network security protocols, encryption algorithms, and authentication mechanisms.
- Strong expertise in designing, implementing, and managing firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto).
- Proficiency in intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and packet analysis for identifying and mitigating security incidents.
- Deep understanding of cloud security principles and experience securing hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST) and their impact on network security practices.
