Senior Full Stack Software Engineer Ground Segment (f/m/d)

Who You Are

You are a true full stack engineer, who is comfortable working on backend, frontend and rich client applications. Ideally, you have experience in developing Eclipse RCP based applications as well as web applications based on Angular and/or React.

Your main programming languages are Java and Javascript/Typescript in combination with modern frameworks such as Spring Boot, Jasmine, Junit, Mockito, Angular or React.

You love sharing your knowledge with the team and mentoring more junior engineers.

What You Will Focus on

As part of our multi-national team, you will be designing, developing, and maintaining efficient and reliable backend and frontend code for a sophisticated and diverse software stack in the space domain. In this position, you will be developing software for mission preparation systems in the ground segment.

As member of a team with excellent expertise in both software development and space, you will get the opportunity to develop your career.

Improve the software systems in agile collaboration with your teammates and our clients for the years to come. Identify bottlenecks as well as bugs, and devise solutions to these problems by assuring the functionality of the systems.

What You Bring

Essentially

• Frontend: Angular and/or React, Eclipse SWT
• Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Eclipse RCP
• Experience with application integration and RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Proficiency in spoken and written English

Desirably

• Scripting (e.g. bash, python)
• Experience in continuous integration processes and tools
• Experience to work in an Agile Team

A background in the space market (Ground Segment Systems) and its applicable standards would help further.
