Ground Segment L2 Maintenance Engineer (w/m/d)

Who You Are

We are looking to strengthen our Gailileo Service Team with a Ground Segment Engineer delivering cutting edge services to our customer based in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich with a talented and ambitious team members.

This position is full-time and expected starting date will be as early as possible.

What You Will Focus on

  • Support to AIV campaigns for the Galileo Ground Control Segment;
  • Definition of test documentation (including maintenance of the documentation);
  • Support to the preparation and execution of the Non-Regression / System Validation Test Campaigns;
  • Support OPS/L1 and L3 teams for problem management, system restoration, vulnerability management and handling of security incidents;
  • Provide inputs to Service Asset and Configuration Management activities, including maintaining the configuration via the provided tools;
  • Support all milestone reviews related to the L2/L3 maintenance handover;
  • Support the design of end-to-end integrated maintenance and troubleshooting environments for Galileo systems;
  • Provision of inputs to the release strategy for minor and major evolutions of the GCS infrastructure.

What You Bring

  • Engineering degree in Information Technology or Aerospace related stream (or relevant work experience);
  • System administration in LINUX environments, best in an aerospace domain;
  • OPS system monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting;
  • Understanding of virtualization and networking technologies;
  • Experience in system integration and AIV campaigns;
  • Fluency in English both spoken and written.

Essentially

  • LINUX, Networking and Programming skills;
  • MS Office;
  • Fast-learner and ability to work with little or no supervision;
  • Good communication skills and team player;
  • Ability to prioritize different and parallel activities;
  • Capability of following and implementing standard procedures;
  • Problem solving aptitude.
