Who You Are
We are looking for an ESTRACK Integrated Logistic Support (EILS) Technician, based at ESA European Space Operations Centre in Darmstadt. The position is full-time.
The European Space Agency applies Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) principles to its ESA Tracking Stations Network (ESTRACK) of ground stations, as well as the associated control centre facilities and the Mission Operations Infrastructure IT (MOI-IT).
The position consists in joining the Telespazio ESTRACK ILS team at ESOC and supporting their on-site activities.

What You Will Focus on
Main tasks and responsibilities will include:
1) Procurement:
- Establish and maintain good business relationships with new and existing business partners.
- Issue Requests For Quotation (RFQ).
- Launch procurements as per established procedures.
- Storage and maintenance of the information and purchase documents.
- Verification of deliveries and invoices.
- Interface with suppliers and proactive follow-up of procurement status.
2) Logistics:
- Liaisons with ESOC transport areas for incoming and outgoing goods.
- Preparation and completion of transport papers.
- Forwarding and dispatch of received equipment.
- Organisation of the logistic meetings with the ESTRACK stations.
3) Stock and spare organisation:
- Organisation of the ESTRACK stocks at ESOC.
- Review of stock reports from the ESTRACK stations.
- Conduct physical inventories (on a yearly basis).
4) Reporting
- Production of the monthly calibration reports.
- Monthly progress reporting.
What You Bring
- Commonly recognized qualification received from a national technical school or equivalent institution in a technical domain or an administration domain with a technical background.
Essentially
- Applicants must be highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Corporate E-mail Systems (Lotus Notes/Outlook).
- Good organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Self–motivation and the ability to work independently in an international environment.
- The working language of the Agency is predominantly English. Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
- Interest in a combination of administrative and technical tasks.
- CV in Europass format
- This position is open ONLY to candidates from an ESA member state or the EU.
Desirably
- A working level knowledge of German would be useful. Experience in organising and leading teams.
